5linx – Is It Really Worth Your Time?

No Holds Barred 5Linx Review

This review is completely from an outside source.  I’ve reviewed dozens of network marketing companies and have been in the industry for years, giving me a unique vantage point for an honest 5linx review.

5Linx Review

When you review the 5Linx company, what you see is a leader in the VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) industry, and is in fact a Fortune 500 company.  In fact, it’s parent company is called GlobalLinx and has right around Thirty Thousand members and distributors.  When you take a look at their website, www.5linx.com, you see that it a gentleman by the name of Craig Jarabeck is the founder, and in addition is the CEO and president of the company.

What About the 5linx Products?

As a business, they market everything from VOIP to digital home phone services to broadband internet services through their network of distributors.  Really their biggest and most popular product line is their cell phone service that they offer, but they do offer wireless phone accessories and broadband internet access.  However, the big selling points for their products is the substantial savings a customer can get through using their services.

In addition to their core assets, they do offer satellite TV, credit card processing, security systems, and Identity guard protection, so its a pretty diverse portfolio.

The Compensation Plan

The 5linx compensation plan looks pretty standard for most MLM payout plans, as they include bonuses such as: profit sharing bonus, senior DP benefits, corporate benefits, and a $1000 quick start bonus that they feature.  What I find interesting is that part of the marketing angle that they tout is it is a comp plan for the “common person” that everyone can benefit from

That definitely has an appeal to the market they are targeting, as cell phones (we know they offer more than that) are pretty much a commodity these days.

Below is a corporate video explaining the opportunity itself.  Admittedly, you have to get to about 1:30 in the video to get past all of the generic information about “working for yourself, more time with family” hype that is pervasive in most MLM company marketing materials.

So, is there a 5linx Scam?

Not in the least, this is a legitimate, up and coming company.  They have even been featured as an up and coming company, such as being featured as #2 in the Rochester, NY top 100 companies.  So it’s a company that has been recognized, at least on the local level as a hot company.

What about the 5linx complaints that you read about online?  For the most part, as I see it and read it, those are from dissatisfied business builders who got into marketing an MLM and weren’t prepared to work for generating a check and complained about it.  The industry isn’t called an MLM Business opportunity for nothing, as it is most definitely isn’t a job.

So what is the conclusion?

Overall a definite thumbs up for the products and market that they are in.

It looks like a good solid compensation plan, but limited at the entry level and for the average associate.  What I don’t see here is a decided point of difference between their service and a national brand.  For example, with their cell phone service, why switch from something like Verizon, or AT&T.  While they are marketing VOIP, I’m just not sure if that makes enough of a difference to people.  Just my opinion though.

While this we believe that they do have a pretty good compensation plan, all based off of various levels of bonuses, while that is helpful, that is not the only thing that you will need to be successful.

In reviewing some of the company marketing material, I see alot of catch phrases like “Do you have what it takes?”, etc.  This is most definitely NOT marketing, and falls into the “hora” camp of MLM motivation.  In the end, it’s not motivation that sells, its connecting with people who truly are looking for the benefits of either your business or products is what builds businesses long term.

Let me give you the honest truth here, it’s not about the product or company you are associated with.  Your true success in 5linx really comes down to YOU and how YOU work your business.  No product ever sells itself without someone putting it in front of someone who wants what it has to offer and money changes hands.

In other words, the marketing of your  business is your most critical component of success.  Your ability to connect with people and offer them solutions to their problems is what matters, not product features or comp plans.

In particular, today, your ability to use the internet and get your mlm business in front of as many people as possible are crucial to your success.  Just think about how much time people spend on computers and on social websites or reading information or watching videos.  That is truly your ticket to success.

I myself, I just love 5linx. Not just for what they have done for me and my family but also for what they are doing for the way the world communicates! If you haven’t investigated the 5linx opportunity for yourself then you are doing yourself a disservice.

Just check out the video on the above named site and see for yourself. Then if you decide that you want more information I will be more than willing to make sure you get all of your questions answered!

Omara,

Yep, it IS a good company, but remember that success in the business doesn’t come from the products or company, but from what YOU do with it.

To your success,

Kurt

Sarah,

I know how you feel. It seems like times like these you have to go outside your friends and family to create a new market. Once your close friends and family see you successful with strangers or every day people you meet in the real world or online, they’ll start to pay you some attention.

by the way, my name is Adrian (male), not Adriana…

All sounds great but what about the ecomony problems with trying to grow your business these days can anyone truly share that facts and issues that 5LINK is having and is the company prepare to continue supporting their down line or are they plan a reinvention on the down low (there own way out of a pyrimaid, to start another one at the top).

Kurt March 16, 2012 at 10:21 pm

Shannon,

Good point there, but this could be true for any MLM company out there, not just this one.

Keep in mind that 5LINX has experienced tremendous growth in a down economy. The reason for their success is 5LINX markets essential services and partners with the leaders in their respective industries.
